E-Z System

Technical description

The E-Z System is a universally useable valve for all radiators with a two point connection in one- and two-pipe heating systems. The system consists of an E-Z distributor, thermostatic valve body, alternatively with axial, angle or straight form with bend nipple, as well as precision steel pipe and compression fittings.

Pipe connector G3/4, with compression fittings for plastic, copper, precision steel, or multi-layer pipes.

For the E-Z System, use only the accompanying, labeled HEIMEIER compression fittings (label e. g. 15 THE).

In one-pipe operation, the mass flow to the radiators can be set anywhere in the area between 30–60%. Factory settings: 35% to the radiator.

The distributor can be reset by turning the regulating cone to the left as far as it will go to two-pipe operation (100% mass flow through the radiator, by-pass closed).

By turning the regulating cone all the way to the right, the return is shut off, the supply by closing the thermostatic valve body, as a result of which the radiator is detachable without emptying the unit. The by-pass stays opened in one-pipe operation regardless of the shut-off, so that the circulation of the circular pipeline is not interrupted.

The flow direction marked on the E-Z distributor should be followed, since the flow through the radiator is not optimal with a switched connection.

Important for one-pipe heating: Always use thermostatic valve bodies with blue protection cap and stuffing box (gravity model).

Single pipe valve with immersion pipe

Technical description

One-pipe valve made out of gunmetal nickel-plated with immersion pipe for radiators with lateral single point connection. The valves consists of a one-pipe valve lower part, immersion pipe (short or long version) and diaphragm plate.

Pipe connector G3/4, with compression fittings for plastic, copper, precision steel, or multi-layer pipes.

For the one-pipe valve lower part, use only the accompanying, labeled HEIMEIER compression fittings (label e. g. 15 THE).

An almost completely consistent mass flow rate in the circular pipe is guaranteed by the special regulating cone.

When working at full capacity, the radiator is set at 35% of the mass flow rate in circuit.
Supply and return can be shut-off, as a result of which the radiator is detachable without emptying the unit. The by-pass remains open, independent of the shut-off, so that circuit operation is not interrupted.

Note: The immersion pipes are available according to application in two different lengths. The long immersion pipe (thread reach 250 mm) is to be used when installing DIN, pipes and narrowtube radiators with more than 10 elements, otherwise use the short immersion pipe (thread reach 85 mm).

With both immersion pipes, the stuffing box is installed in the middle of the first element. When using plate and special radiators, a two chamber connection with a bore hole of Ø 11 mm must exist or the radiator connection must be installed in such a way so that the long immersion pipe can be fed in without a diaphragm plate.

Distributor and separation elements as well as the immersion pipe length are to be built according to the specifications of the respective radiator manufacturer.

The radiator can be easily disassembled by separating the immersion pipe in the screw connection.
